G-SHOCK and Mobile Suit Gundam Team Up for New RX-78-2 Inspired DW-5600 Watch

Another major Gundam collaboration is landing this summer, and this one feels perfect for longtime Universal Century fans. Casio has officially revealed the latest G-SHOCK x Mobile Suit Gundam collaboration model, featuring a special RX-78-2 Gundam inspired version of the classic DW-5600UE.

The collaboration takes the iconic square-shaped G-SHOCK design and gives it a full Earth Federation makeover. The watch features a transparent clear bezel and band combined with a blue digital display that immediately brings the RX-78-2 color scheme to mind. Orange accent parts are also included throughout the design, helping recreate the classic Gundam tricolor look without going overboard.

One of the coolest details is found on the case back, which includes the EFSF (Earth Federation Space Force) logo alongside mechanical-style engravings that make the watch feel like equipment straight out of the One Year War. It has that clean military-mecha aesthetic that Gundam fans usually go crazy for.

Using the DW-5600UE as the base was honestly the perfect choice too. It is already one of G-SHOCK’s most recognizable and durable models, so pairing it with the RX-78-2 gives the collaboration a nice balance between everyday wear and collector appeal.

The watch is currently scheduled for release in South Korea on June 4, 2026, based on information available as of May 26, 2026. While additional regional release and pricing details have not yet been fully announced, there is a good chance more markets will follow shortly after given the popularity of previous Gundam x G-SHOCK collaborations.
