Gundam turns 47, and fans are already getting a special surprise. On April 6, McDonald's Japan shared a teaser hinting at an upcoming collaboration with the franchise.

The image features clear silhouettes of Lalah Sune, Amuro Ray, and Char Aznable, instantly catching the attention of longtime fans. While no details have been revealed yet, the choice of these iconic characters is just perfect to celebrate the title's 47th anniversary.

First released on April 7, 1979 with Mobile Suit Gundam, the franchise changed the mecha genre by focusing on war, politics, and human conflict. Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and produced by Sunrise, Gundam has grown into a global brand with anime, films, games, and GunPla.

Now, 47 years later, Gundam remains as strong as ever. More details about the McDonald’s Japan collaboration are expected soon.
