Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM is set to be released in more than 30 European nations. Cinemas throughout Italy, Portugal, Spain, German-speaking Europe, the Nordics, the Netherlands, and regions throughout Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and the Balkans will soon show the latest installment of the popular franchise.
The announcement, posted on the official Bandai Namco Entertainment Facebook page, has prompted widespread enthusiasm among fans. Following an 80-day run in Japanese theaters, the film has earned an amazing 4.4 billion yen (about $28.6 million USD) from 2.6 million ticket sales since its release on January 26, 2024.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM continues the story in the Cosmic Era year 75, delving into continued efforts for freedom in the face of attacks from the extremist group Blue Cosmos. Compass, a new global peacekeeping body, has been founded to pacify the situation, with Lacus Clyne serving as its first president. The story follows Kira Yamato and his Compass teammates as they fight in numerous engagements. A crucial storyline twist involves the Emerging Countries Foundation collaborating with Compass on a coordinated mission to remove Blue Cosmos' stronghold, promising spectators an epic battle.
