Bandai Spirits has announced the reissue of the 1/100 Akatsuki Gundam (Oowashi / Shiranui Full Set) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny" and the triumphant premiere of the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom" film on January 26, 2024. This reissue is more than just a salute to the Gundam series' rich past; it's a beautifully produced homage, finished in stunning gold, adding a layer of magnificence and collecting appeal and shelf presence.

Despite its age, the 1/100 Akatsuki Gundam offers an excellent articulation.

Head Articulation: The ball-and-socket/pivoting neck joint provides for significant swivel and pivot action, which is emphasized by the reflecting nature of the gold plating.

Shoulder and Arm Flexibility: The model has upward-raising shoulders and arms that swing on a peg-and-socket joint, with double-jointed elbows for optimum poseability.
