This model is notable for its extensive modifications, which combine pieces from numerous Gundam kits to create a unique look. The HGUC Zeta Gundam revival was used as the base kit for this project, but ao_mecha added considerable changes like as kit bashing, custom paint job, scratch-built parts, and unique details.
The P-Bandai MG Zeta Gray Wolf inspired the theme of this build. ao_mecha's take is a personal rendition of the Gray Wolf Zeta, imagined as an Evolved version, as it was not accessible in the High-Grade (HG) line.
One of the most intriguing elements of this model is its ability to transform, which is prevalent in Zeta-type models. Although it is a "partsformer", which means that some parts bend to form a new shape while others must be changed out, ao_mecha ensured that the model could morph into two modes without removing all the pieces in between. To simplify mode switching, two arms and two back cover plates were created. Despite the components forming nature, ao_mecha finds this portion of the project the most enjoyable, embodying the genuine spirit of the Zeta Gundam series.
Overall, the HGUC Zeta Gundam 3B Type GRAY Wolf 2.0 by ao_mecha demonstrates the originality and talent required for custom Gundam model building. It demonstrates the modeler's technical ability as well as their love of the Gundam universe and its extensive design legacy.
