Bandai Spirits is taking the METAL BUILD Gundam SEED series to a whole new level with the reveal of the incredible METAL BUILD METEOR, scheduled for release in February 2027 for 88,000 yen.

Created by the same team behind the acclaimed METAL BUILD Gundam SEED lineup and supervised by Gundam SEED chief mechanical animation director Satoshi Shigeta, the massive support unit has been recreated with an all-new design packed with mechanical detail and interactive features.

Once connected to a compatible mobile suit, the METEOR stretches to approximately 860mm in length. Attach the included beam sword effect parts and the total length exceeds an astonishing 1,200mm, making it one of the largest entries in the METAL BUILD series.

The enormous support unit is loaded with gimmicks throughout its frame. Collectors can deploy the beam cannons into firing mode, rotate the engine section, and open multiple maintenance hatches to reveal intricate mechanical details. Bandai has also added an original feature that allows the METEOR to be equipped not only by the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam, but also the AILE STRIKE GUNDAM and Force Impulse Gundam, giving fans even more display possibilities.

In Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the Mobile Suit Embedded Tactical Enforcer, better known as METEOR, is an armed support module originally developed for the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam. Loaded with missile launchers, large beam cannons, smaller side cannons, and a pair of massive beam swords, the unit delivers firepower comparable to a warship or even a mobile fortress. When paired with Freedom or Justice, both mobile suits can use their Multi Lock-on System to unleash devastating attacks against multiple enemies at once.

When not deployed in battle, METEOR units are stored aboard the warship Eternal, where they also serve as movable defensive gun turrets. Their powerful engines provide exceptional mobility, while later versions were upgraded with nuclear reactors and Neutron Jammer Cancellers to support additional mobile suits.

With its enormous size, impressive engineering, and countless display features, the METAL BUILD METEOR looks set to become one of the most ambitious and eye-catching releases the brand has ever produced.
