The official Tamashii Japan has announced the release of the Metal Robot Spirits version of the Gundam AGE-FX from the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime series.

The AGE-FX Gundam AGE-FX is the successor to the AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal, which was introduced in the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Three Generation Arc. It is piloted by Kio Asuno.

Mecha designer Kanetake Ebikawa created a highly detailed version of the AGE-FX Gundam for METAL ROBOT Spirits. In addition, the markings placed in various places were also designed by Kanetake Ebikawa, who pays meticulous attention to the “authenticity” of “Gundam AGE-FX”. Each part has a built-in mechanism to reproduce some dynamic poses seen in the anime. Additionally, various C-funnels display connectors are included, allowing for a variety of poses. Following the conflict in the Mars Sphere, the Gundam AGE-FX is created using the combat data from the Gundam AGE-3. It embodies all of the Gundam's evolutionary data, possessing the most formidable fighting strength in the history of all Advanced Generation mobile suits. The Gundam AGE-FX's backpack, like the Gundam AGE-3's, can be detached and used as a Core Fighter. In contrast to Gundam AGE-3's Core Fighter, which acts as its head, core control system, and main propulsion system, Gundam AGE-FX's Core Fighter only fulfills the final two tasks. The previous Gundam's wear system has been totally removed, and the suit has been made as light as possible for enhanced maneuverability.

The "FX" acronym stands for "Follow X-Rounder," and refers to the mobile suit designed specifically to keep up with an X-Rounder pilot's abilities. The Gundam AGE-FX's most famous weapons is the 14 C-Funnels, which are wireless, remote-controlled physical blades that can be employed for assault and defense and can only be effectively handled by an X-Rounder. When split, the Core Fighter can carry up to four C-Funnels, providing it some offensive and defensive capabilities. The Gundam AGE-FX also features a unique "FX Burst Mode" that maximizes its mobility. Attacks in FX Burst Mode are less accurate, but when employed properly, the Gundam can fight huge groups of foes on its own.
