The rumor has been confirmed! The Master Grade Ver. Ka GunPla series will be adding the Narrative Gundam from the titular 2018 anime film Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative.

Introducing the Narrative Gundam C-Packs Ver. Ka

Model kit points / Gimmicks

Enhanced Psycho Frame:
Delving into meticulous details, the thickness of the clear psycho frame parts has been precisely adjusted. Intricate engravings adorn not just the front but also the back and sides, resulting in a strikingly deep and multidimensional appearance. Its crystal-like quality refracts light, presenting an awe-inspiring spectacle from various angles.

The MG NARRATIVE GUNDAM Ver. Ka includes gray Psycho-Frame parts that were produced using the molds from the MG UNICORN GUNDAM Ver. Ka. While the clear pink Psycho-Frame parts feature extra details, their designs are generally similar. As a result, both types of Psycho-Frame parts from this kit are compatible and can be fitted onto the RX-0 series MG models.

Versatile Gray Psycho Frame: Included is a non-NT-D grey psycho frame that can be used selectively, providing a dynamic layer to the customizing options.

Synchronized Design Elements: In keeping with the story's narrative backdrop, the parts arrangement is tightly linked to the "MG 1/100 Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka," giving enthusiasts with a coherent and immersive experience.

Improved Articulation: Each block has revolutionary moveable hip joints that improve maneuverability. Furthermore, the knee-mounted fins gracefully adapt when the knees bend, allowing for profound leg articulation.

Transformative Functionality: By deftly turning the nose, this brilliant invention can fluidly transition from its core block shape to a bird-like core combatant, demonstrating its adaptability and versatility.

Armament Arsenal: Using a C-packs beam rifle (a sophisticated variant based on the Jegan rifle), the model makes use of its adjustable settings, which make it simple to switch between versions by just changing out parts.

Extensive Accessories: The kit includes a wide range of accessories, such as shields, beam rifles, beam saber pairs, body parts replica, landing gear for the core fighter, several hand options, and a sitting and standing Jona Bashta figure variants for more customization and depth.

The appearance of the "Narrative Gundam C-Packs" marks a watershed event in the progress of mobile suit technology, originally made as a psycho frame test unit and now materialized as a beautiful three-dimensional Master Grade Ver.Ka model. This extraordinary invention, created with the inventiveness of Katoki Hajime, displays a plethora of features that combine storytelling themes and plastic model innovation.

With a hint of Katoki Hajime's designs, of course, the prototype on display verifies that the kit is, in fact, the C-Packs equipment version. It can also be transformed back into its standard armor version using the kit's alternative parts.

Anaheim Electronics built this mobile suit as a prototype for the RX-93 v Gundam, testing the Psycho-Frame, and many components of its body are identical. Because it was designed primarily as a data collecting testbed, several places are devoid of armor, exposing the frame structure. The initial machine is simply armed with head vulcans, but during Operation Phoenix Hunt, it is outfitted with a range of interchangeable armament provided by Luio & Co.

The Narrative's cockpit, which can detach and transform into a Core Fighter in an emergency, is housed in the Core Block system and does not have the typical 360-degree panoramic monitor. For the purpose of operation, it is also covertly equipped with the Newtype Destroyer System (NT-D).

During the final battle against the massive II Neo Zeong, Narrative Gundam's Psycho-Frame glows in a blue hue after receiving Psycho Waves from the Phenex.

Bandai Hobby has also released a special site for the upcoming MG Ver. Ka kit! More details will be revealed in December 2023.

Hobby Japan also added some studio shots of the upcoming MG Ver. Ka kit on their official website.

Message from Hajime Katoki

Since Narrative Gundam is the protagonist's unit of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" side story, it was obvious that it would be equipped with Psycho Frame. However, Narrative Gundam appeared later than ν Gundam and Unicorn Gundam, and it is from side story. As a result of thinking about how to make the character stand out in such a position, two concepts were born: "Psycho Frame is appropriated from Unicorn Gundam" (It was born from the both aspects of making the settings add up and the specifications as a plastic model kit.) and "Core Block System equipped type MS" (Due to a desire to see and draw Core Fighter in this era.). From a model kit gimmick standpoint, these two points will be the key to this Ver.Ka. I feel that the best and latest gunpla technology has been put into both.

  6. From the looks of the pack, it seems like the Psychoframe form is compatible with fin funnels. You may actually get the double fin funnel wings with these. Could be wrong but I recognize those clips.

  7. I wonder why they didn't give the gray frame some new molds?
