Bandai Namco Filmworks (SUNRISE) recently registered two new trademarks for its new title projects currently in the works; Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance and Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom.

The Gundam Requiem for Vengeance made its first debut during the Sunrise panel at Anime Expo on Saturday July 1, 2023, where the first trailer for the upcoming project was shown. As showcased in the trailer, the production team will be using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5 to animate the entire project.

It was also announced that German artist Erasmus Brosdau, also known for The Lord Inquisitor: Seed of Ambition (a CGI fan film based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe), will direct the project, while Gavin Hignight from Transformers: Cyberverse., Star Wars: Resistance writes the project.

As seen in the teaser, the setting happens eleven months after the revolutionary war, while the project's writer also confirms that the episodes are set in the Universal Century following the original 0079 Mobile Suit Gundam story and connecting to its sequels. Brosdau added that the project will be depicted in Zeon's perspective, with shots inside Zaku's cockpit.
