  4. Please oh please be nontransforming. I would happily buy a unicorn mode and a destroy mode.

    1. We do not know for sure if it will transform, part swap, or have a separate release for Unicorn & Destroy variations. Let's wait and see.

  6. This was obviously going to be made since the big Gundam statue in Japan is Unicorn and because Bandai loves to release an excessive number of model kits based on this series. I think this is exciting for fans but at the same time it is very scary since it is very likely that Bandai is going to release many of the variations through their Premium Bandai, Online Hobby Shop service.

  8. I'm not surprised by this at all. It was merely just a matter of when this kit would be announced. I'm not a real big fan of RG kits (due to their frailty and large amounts of tiny parts) but if this kit is going the full transformation route I'm staying clear.

Bandai couldn't get the MG version to transform without making it a mess- whats the hope the smaller 1/144 will do better? I'd be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't the case... but given their track record...

    1. I hope it will not have a transformation gimmick. They should release both the Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode separately like the RG GPO1. I believe they released both at the same time; both the Normal and Full variants. If Bandai wants a transforming Unicorn RG, then either it'll have parts popping off regularly, have it part swap to "transform", or have a separate release for Unicorn and Destroy variants. I think they should be showing it off at the Shizoka Hobby convention show. So there we will know if it will transform, part swap, or have a separate release.

    2. Come on guys... have a little faith on bandai...

    3. It's not that we don't have faith in Bandai. But the fact that a MG, a way bigger kit with a lot more space for those transformation gimmicks, still have a lot of problems, i cannot see how a RG kit do better. Also, PG, MG Unicorns which have transformation gimmicks sacrifice a lot of other things for it, the HG which does not the gimmick is a lot sturdier and we don't have to worry about things falling apart.

    4. I've yet to get an RG kit that hasn't frustrated me immensely. The gimmickier ones are even worse. And this is coming hot off the heels of the "Advanced Evolution" HGUC Zeta (or whatever they called it) Which was more of a disappointment than anything.

    5. The RG kits from Seed, Seed Destiny, and 00 weren't that bad. The Zeta and Sinanju were quite disappointing though. That HG GunPla Evolution Zeta could have been done better, but it's not as bad.

    6. I keep going back and forth between getting the RG and making it non-transformable, attempting to fix the Evolution Zeta, or just skip the kits and get the Robot Spirits Zeta.

The inner modeler in me would rather get a kit, but the Spirits Zeta just looks so awesome...

    7. This is going to be a mess, I fear.

  9. Please... Make a new RG frame... Don't be like the Sinanju and use the Gundam MK2 frame..

    1. RG Ground Gundam and Gouf? Takes a smoke, haven't heard those names in years.

  11. I hope Bandai release a green frame triple gatling gun shields version as a non p-bandai. I sure that this kit come with only one shield and no gatling gun like sinunju's bazuka.

    1. You hope that Bandai is going to make a P-Bandai? I think most people fully expect such a thing and many more to be made. It's just something that people don't hope to see since P-Bandai can be expensive and can get hard to find if you do not preorder.

    2. Yes, i definitely pass this one and wait for final battle ver, really hope to be regular release, but still grab it even if it's p-bandai

  12. I'm both excited and wary of this, I love the Unicorn as one of my favorites, but if we've seen anything of transforming Unicorn kits, it's that it's definitely not easy, and now we're doing it with 1/144 scale and the RG pre-molded inner frame, that just screams fragile. [-(

    1. Not sure if this completely accurate to what was in the hobby show but the plaque said something about how despite the transformation its supposedly stable in both forms

  13. if it using transforming sequence as the MG does have (which have a not so good rumor) then we're like holding a hand grenade that can explode anytime

it would be better if bandai separate them into unicorn mode and destroy mode with normal RG price (2700 yen)

  14. Hope that they dont reuse mk-2 frame like the sinanju

    1. Maybe they won't reuse the MK-2's frame but that doesn't mean they won't reuse a different one. Maybe they'll use the frame that Zeta Gundam used. But that would be a disaster. If the RG Unicorn transforms, hopefully it won't be super fragile. Or they could do part swapping to transform or just do a Unicorn and Destroy version separately like the HG?

    2. I believe it will be whole new frame, with almost all psycho frame runner, I mean, look at mg unicorn, if you put out all the psycho frame part, it looks like RG frame. I'm excited and yeah, a bit worried, either it will be good or more fragile than sinanju.

  15. Man the expectations are so rock bottom for this kit. So when it's out its either plastic grenade number 3 or a good kit. I wonder which it'll be.

    ReplyDelete
  16. So do you guys think they gonna use cross inject plastic for the V fin

  17. RG barbatos lupus rex will be nice!!

    1. I really don't see IBO getting RG's soon, not with the whole Gundam Frame gimmicks and the RG frame at the same time.

  18. Looks good. I dont expect much since rg kits are fragile, but i hope it will be better than sinanju.

    1. Rather doubt a RG Nu gundam ver ka will be happening anytime soon....

  20. Will buy it no matter what, but only the final battle version, or full armor version, which-ever bandai come up with, being regular release or p-bandai, because green frame unicorn is what really worth for me

  21. There might be a transforming version looking at the pic closely

    1. Didn't it say it was fully transformable on the plaque at the last shizouka hobby show?

      Delete
    2. Nah, most people say it's a partsformer judging from the joints and such.

      Delete
    3. It said on the plaque at the fair thats its fully transformable its not a partsformer

      Delete
    4. If that's the case I have no idea how this is going to be the most sturdy RG kit ever made like Bandai's advertising.

      Delete
  22. There might be a transforming version due to pic with a slight red effect piece under the white armor piece
