  1. It is great to see that they are counting this as part of the HGUC line. This looks like they simplified the build design while making the engineering more efficient in terms of part separation. I like it. But did they have to really make up a new name to make it seem like it is a totally new product line? This is just a continuation of the Revive series of GunPla. Why not just keep it simple and call it a Revive or just give it numbers like the Master Grade line? This is basically the HG Zeta Gundam Version 2.0. Anyway, I hope this "GunPla Evolution Project" line lasts a while as there are many older kits across all scales and grades that could use an updated release. The only big disappointment with this updated High Grade is the red stripe details on its backpack being larger stickers. But you can easily mask off that area, prime the area that needs to be painted red, and then paint it.

    1. The giant red stickers is a NO-GO for me. Too bad, and the part separation was easy...

    2. Its a hg what did you expect? 100% color accuracy with no stickers? on a hg? are you braindead? No gunpla will be perfect right out the box. How about you put some effort in to building gunpla instead of whining and complaining online?

I expect the stickers to be BETTER than the kit before it- not WORSE. Its not a deal breaker for me- but I was really hoping they would fix more of the issues with the old Zeta.

Another gripe is that the shield STILL can only be mounted on the back of the arm. No part to move it to the side? What about the Lightning Zeta where the arm could rotate below the elbow joint?

Also it only comes with the generic "holding" hands. Even the Revive Gundam, Guncannon, Hyakushiki, GM Ground Type and the upcoming Barzam come with alternate hands...

For a kit thats supposed to be the "next generation" of gunpla it really doesn't feel like it. Its more or less on par with the recent "revive" releases. Its not BAD, but its nothing ground breaking.

  3. The gunpla evolution tag is just for the anniversary AFAIK. After the Zeta they're supposed to return to Revive. I think. Don't quote me, I just remember reading that somewhere.

    1. Yes indeed. But still, this guy is inderwhelming compared to the upcoming HGUC Barzam. Or the Hyaku-Shiki Revive.

    2. To truly appreciate this kit you need to build the old hguc zeta Gundam. Revives are so much more an enjoyable experience when you've built the old kit.
