    2. it's the 4th unit of ZAFT's first-gen G-weapon units, this being the ZGMF-X12A Testament.

it was meant to test the data obtained on the OMNI's Striker Pack System, to test compatibility, and to develop their own version of the system from it(i.e. Impulse's Silhouette Packs, or the ZAKU Warrior's Wizard Packs)

and from the looks of the photo, looks like we might be getting the Kaite Madigan colors version

    1. This is from Gundam Seed manga, "Gundam SEED Destiny Astray". It is developed from the Dreadnought Gundam from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray manga. It is made into the Gundam Astray Out Frame from the Gundam SEED Destiny Astray manga. It is a manga mobile unit.

  3. Never knew this existed, but bless DM for both informing me of this MS's existence as well as making an MG of it, this thing hits all the right spots for me.

    1. Can't blame bandai though. Not many people actually know about the Astray Outframe. Making it might night be profitable

  6. so much misinfo here :P
this guy is the zgmf-x12a testament gundam and shares the frame of freedom, justice, and providence
it uses a similar invisibility particle like the mirage colloid on blitz, except instead of altering light, it gets into other machines and hacks their computers. it's used to erase its presence on sensors and cameras so the entire gundam could be up in your face in plain sight and still not show up. it is the villain gundam in destiny astray.
there is a second unit of this ms made from it's spare parts and other custom bits put together by Lowe and given to a journalist. thats the astray out frame and is the protaginist gundam in destiny astray.
DM probably is copying the freedom 2.0 inner frame and probably has outframe designed and ready to go after this.

    1. the "Mirage Colloid Virus Spreader" is a system first made by the Atlantic Federation, and was tested on the NMS-X07PO Gel Finieto made by Actaeon Industries(the same group of people who helped developed the CAT-X1/2/3 Hyperion gundams).

the Testament originally didn't have the system installed, but was outfitted with one after it got stolen by the Alliance from GENESIS Alpha.

the X12 Out Frame was originally a spare frame that was meant to be a back-up test model should something happen to the original, but it's torso was designed differently(it still had the X12A's striker hard-point), and when Lowe found it, all of the Testament's spare armor and parts were lying about, so he took some and turned them into the Out Frame's signature design.(at least until the X12A was done trashing it)
