Hong Kong Gundam fans have something special to look forward to! THE GUNDAM BASE HONG KONG is celebrating its first anniversary with a special event featuring exclusive Gunpla releases, exhibitions, and plenty of Gundam attractions.
One of the biggest highlights is the HG 1/144 THE GUNDAM BASE LIMITED PSYCHO GUNDAM [SPECIAL COATING], which will receive an advance release in Hong Kong. This special edition features a premium special coating finish, along with exclusive THE GUNDAM BASE packaging.
NOTE: The kit will initially be released through THE GUNDAM BASE HONG KONG as an advance release. Availability at other THE GUNDAM BASE locations has not yet been confirmed.
Psycho Gundam first appeared in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam's New Hong Kong arc, where Four Murasame pilots it against Kamille Bidan's Gundam Mk-II. Its connection to the city makes it a fitting choice for THE GUNDAM BASE HONG KONG's first anniversary Gunpla release.
The anniversary event, titled THE GUNDAM BASE HONG KONG x The Twins 1st Anniversary, will run from November 21, 2026, to January 10, 2027, at The Twins in Kai Tak.
The celebration will also feature a 3.6-meter-tall nu Gundam display, a six-meter Gunpla Christmas tree, a giant festive Haro, and a pop-up store featuring around 400 Gunpla products. Several exclusive and special releases will be introduced in stages throughout the event.
The Hong Kong flagship store originally opened on December 20, 2025, so its actual first anniversary falls on December 20, 2026. The anniversary festivities will begin earlier, on November 21.
The Psycho Gundam's exact release date and price have yet to be announced.
