April 2026 is a pretty straightforward month for GunPla, but it hits nicely if you’re following Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. There are two regular releases leading the lineup, both tied directly to the film’s strong reception.
You’ve got the Alyzeus bringing something new to the table with its bulky, experimental look, while the Xi Gundam returns with an updated version that reflects its role in the movie. It’s a simple one-two combo that lets builders revisit the film or add something fresh to the shelf.
On the Premium Bandai side, it’s a mix of extras, full kits, and some reissues. Nothing too wild, but solid options if you’re into expanding your builds or picking up variants you might’ve missed before.
Release Date: April 2026
Price: 13,200 yen
Fresh off the strong reception of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, the spotlight now turns to one of the film’s most imposing mechanical presences. Enter the TX-ff104 Alyzeus, a massive mobile suit whose debut adds new scale and intensity to the Hathaway trilogy.
The Alyzeus was hastily developed as a dedicated training unit for Lane Aim, designed specifically to prepare its pilot for the extreme demands of Flight Form, high speed combat. Intended only as a stopgap machine until the Penelope’s official deployment, the Alyzeus is nonetheless anything but ordinary. Its design philosophy is singularly focused, with Flight Form serving as its primary and most defining configuration.
At its core, the Alyzeus is built around a modified RX-94 Mass Production Type nu Gundam. Its exterior armor tells a story of experimentation, repurposing components from a prototype unit constructed during Penelope’s development phase. This blend of proven structure and testbed parts gives the Alyzeus a raw, utilitarian presence that perfectly matches its role as a transitional yet critical machine.
What truly sets the Alyzeus apart is its array of twenty Shelf Nozzles mounted across the body. Developed as an alternative to the still-incomplete Minovsky Flight Unit, these nozzles rely on a plasma jet engine based propulsion system that uses older, non I-FIELD dependent technology. While unconventional, the result is formidable. When operated in parallel, the Shelf Nozzles grant the Alyzeus sustained high speed flight that rivals even the Penelope itself.
Release Date: April 2026
Price: 7,700 yen
Priced at 7,700 yen, the release partially shares molds with the original HGUC 1/144 Xi Gundam launched in 2021, while enhancing the overall package with new armaments tailored specifically for Circe’s Witch. Additional official images are expected to be revealed soon, offering a closer look at the updated loadout.
Within the Universal Century timeline, the Xi Gundam stands as a cornerstone of next generation mobile suit development. Alongside the RX-104FF Penelope, it was classified as a fifth-generation mobile suit, developed by Anaheim Electronics. Unlike the Penelope, which required optional equipment to achieve comparable performance, the Xi Gundam was engineered as a fully self contained platform from the outset.
Its most defining feature was the built-in Minovsky Flight Unit, enabling sustained atmospheric flight without external support. This capability was further reinforced by the latest Beam Barrier system, placing the Xi Gundam at the forefront of mobile suit technology. Armed with a Beam Rifle and Shield as standard equipment, it also carried Funnel Missiles, marking it as a uniquely heavy armed unit within its generation.
Visually, the Xi Gundam’s massive arms remain one of its most iconic traits. Beyond their imposing silhouette, the forearms doubled as internal containers for Triple Missiles, blending form and function into a design that emphasized overwhelming presence and firepower.
Piloted by Hathaway Noa, the Xi Gundam engaged in fierce combat against the Penelope and the Circe Unit, showcasing an exceptional level of performance and refinement. Even among fifth-generation machines, it was regarded as a mobile suit of extraordinary completeness.
