The PGU 1/60 RX-93 nu Gundam takes full advantage of its large scale to incorporate intricate details and mechanisms impossible at smaller sizes. This includes the finger dummy balloon ejection system, multiple internal frames, and elaborate opening hatches, all while balancing the challenges of weight, rigidity, and stability expected from a Perfect Grade release.
The head unit features visible internal mechanical molds through the camera lenses and twin eyes, movable hatches on the top and sides, and finely detailed duct fins. A unique sticker set is included to recreate the movie’s opening scene, where the head is covered during construction.
The torso houses a spherical cockpit block, with dual-stage hatch openings and articulated chest duct fins. The shoulders are built for both protection and mobility, with independently moving armor plates and sharp blade fins for a distinct silhouette.
The arms feature asymmetrical designs, with mechanisms such as a pop-up beam saber grip and elbows capable of bending nearly 180 degrees while keeping joint coverage intact. The hands boast fully articulated fingers and palms, along with functional fingertip hatches that replicate dummy balloon deployment—marking a first in Gunpla history.
The waist showcases layered armor with gold and silver accents, sliding plates, and opening hatches for added depth. The legs are loaded with movable panels, sub-thrusters, and hooks as seen in original design documents. Their armor shifts with motion to conceal joints while enabling wide, natural movement, befitting a high-end 1/60 scale kit.
