The trailer premiered on November 1st, following a special screening of SEED Freedom, leaving audiences eager for more. In a commemorative stage greeting, director Mitsuo Fukuda, producer Hisakazu Naka, and voice actor Soichiro Hoshi (the voice of Kira Yamato) discussed the prequel's development. Fukuda shared that screenwriter Chiaki Morosawa and Shigeru Morita wrote the scenario while planning Gundam SEED Freedom, revealing a surprising history: the script for SEED Freedom Zero was completed two decades ago. Storyboards were half-complete, with some even predating those of SEED Freedom itself. Initially envisioned as an original video anime (OVA) 20 years ago, the team has yet to finalize its current format.
