The official Bandai Hobby and Gundam SEED website has revealed that a new project called Gundam SEED Ignited is now in progress to celebrate Gundam SEED series' upcoming 20th anniversary in 2022! The project aims to expand various Gundam SEED series franchises that includes GunPla, Manga, and even theatrical works!
The Ignited project was announced at the opening ceremony of the full-sized Freedom Gundam statue that is erected at the LaLaport Shanghai, China on May 28, 2021. The project also announced that they are planning to develop new games and to expand the Gundam SEED side stories including MSV which brings the serialization of the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Eclipse manga in July 2021 that will be followed with the release of the new MG 1/100 Eclipse Gundam and more GunPla from the series.
A video relating to this announcement will also be distributed via Gundam YouTube channel, and Gundam Info channel, overseas on Monday, May 31, 2021.
