  1. curious about the transformation aspect, an rx-78-2 with a psycho frame would be cool

    1. I've had enough of the unicorn, we don't need a RX-78 unicorn and the 20 million variants taking our spots for unreleased MS yearly in every grade

    2. The Core Block (and by extension Core Fighter) would also fit the transformation aspect, though...

  2. That head sketch alone makes me want this thing. I can only hope the final product makes that First Gundam head even half as good as that sketch!

That being said... Is the Transformation side of Gunpla Evolution Project gonna be part of this thing? If so... Exactly what will transform? The ol' Grandaddy Gundam precedes the time when such gimmicks became commonplace, so what'll be added?

    1. the corefighter does transform... perhaps modify the docking of said corefighter to not split the torso in two pieces?

    2. True, but I feel like since the Transformation evolution point was originally done for the Real Grade RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, I feel like it'd be more significant than just the Core Fighter...

  3. Seems like they only finished designing the head LOL

    1. I mean, you can't reveal your entire hand all at once, now can you?

  4. If the price isn't stupid; i might get this PG Gundam over the original version.
The final design will also be a major factor in if i'll get it.

  5. Wondering if Bandai will come out with PG G-Fighter next so complete the Gundam transformation, i.e., G-Sky, Gundam-Sky, G-Bull..... Just guessing.

Hopefully, they will not screw up the design turn something out like the MG Ver. 2 or the HG G40 garbage.

    1. I starting to think everyone is over playing this transformation. Bandai may only include various stage parts during the One Year War allowing builders to swap and to complete the RX-78-2 in the early, mid or late form.

  6. Is this a pre-built like the pg nu gundam or need to assemble as I prefer assembling.

    1. PG will be always need to assemble because gunpla, and that nu gundam is not a pg even a gunpla.

  7. I just finished building a PG Zeta, good old granddaddy RX78 deserved a long awaited upgrade. I'm getting it for sure.

  8. Hopefully they make it with an innerframe like the original Pg.
New ones lack the details of these older kits.

  9. Wonder if the transformation aspect could be its combinations with g-fighter.....would be huge

  10. My guess is that the "Transformation" is probably just going to be something subtle like on the MG Ver Ka Nu Gundam. Limbs will extend a little bit, revealing some glowy bits that might light up like the PG Unicorn.

  11. Transformation could just be opening hatches. But I hope they give us a mechanical inner frame with moving pistons everywhere and sliding armor-like the frame of the MG barbatos to another level.

    1. Yeah. I believe PGs should have mechanical details and moving pistons all over the model. I would have bought the existing PG RX-78 if the armor was more detailed. If they had just added more armor separations and panel linings, that would be enough for me.

  12. Hopefully they'll make a newer Zaku or Zeta too, those kits definitely need a remake, especially the zeta, lighting feature on that was miserable to put together -_-

  13. Love the original, can't wait for this to come out!

  14. I have the 1/100 RX-78-2 MG Grade, came out a few year ago, that was the anime accurate one, or at least closer to 70s anime look. Wish Bandai would release a kit like that in 1/60 scale. Just picked up the 1/60 PG Titanium RX-78-2.
