Gundam 40th x LDH Japan Special Clip Released!

The collaborative movie project of Ken Okuyama and LDH Japan is available for free streaming via Gundam Official Youtube Channel starting January 1st 2020 - though the streaming is currently locked for viewing outside Japan.

This special movie release is a part of the Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project.

Char's Zaku II signature kick VS Gundam G40

The 11 minute video reveals the Ken Okuyama designed RX-78-2 Gundam, Char's Zaku II, and Zaku II Mass Production Type in animation with theme songs from LDH Japan artist groups, RAMPAGE, and FANTASTICS.

Ken Okuyama has promised Gundam fans about the special movie project since the beginning of his special Gundam project. He has also collaborated with GunPla 40th anniversary to release the HG 1/144 Gundam G40 [Industrial Design Ver.] on December 14th.


The Mass Production Zaku II design was also revealed in the special anime project. Ken Okuyama has showcased some added and completely different armors and revised equipment for the Mobile Suit. A gigantic shield protecting the a group of Zaku IIs was also featured - it is to show another Okuyama's take on "Industrial realistic design" for the units.

  5. Only 2/3 of the full time was for the movie, the rests are credits and songs. While the art was good, I didn't get the story they want to convey in the short movie. Was it just to show the new G40 designs? Who was that red hair lady?
