  1. Some of these are quite nice. It's just too bad the nice ones will be ignored in favor of the ones built in the overly busy "stick more random crap everywhere" style that these contests seem to favor.

    1. It might only be in your head. Everyone's work deserve to be respected. Doesn't matter if YOU think it's crap. Don't let your bias out.

    2. It's not the it's crap. It's that the kit has so much extra stuff on it that it detracts from the main body of the kit and just appears to be a mess of part. Artistically speaking is very busy and one has no idea what they should be directing their eye towards. It falls under the "too much of a good thing" category. Some people enjoy that style but myself and OP do not. I hope that clears up what was being said.

    3. Wow, I thought I was the only one that share these sentiments.

    4. To be honest the best way to properly convey this sentiment is:

when you see the build fighters or Gundam breaker character make gunpla you dont see these overly designed masses of plastic and metal. yes they do this because these, in my opinion, overly designed works arent properly balanced for combat but even in universe you rarely see these things in the model building competitions if at all, its usually dioramas with a lot of work going into the set building to properly convey a loose narrative or reference older gundam moments with different units.

im not gonna say that these things arent beautiful to look at but in my opinion a lot of them look like the lost around 50% of their articulation and remind me of the people in GB3's online that line their units with funnels for the most grotesque things ever
