To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Gundam, Bandai Spirits will be collaborating with 12 professional baseball teams in Japan to release various special colored HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam.
Each RX-78-2 Gundam will be colored according to each baseball team's color and will be sold in different ways depending on the team's decision from April 2019.

I was on the fence about these. I understand that this appeals almost specifically to the Japanese audience, in other words the primary gunpla audience, but now that I see there's a green one I think I'm sold. Also, I can't be the only one who looks at some of these and thinks of the customizing potential right?
ReplyDeleteI like all of them but i agree that both green versions are of particular interest.
DeleteAre you kidding me? MORE RX-78-2's? Can't they go with another suit for once? I mean, yeah it's an iconic suit, but still...
ReplyDelete...It's the 40th anniversary of the original series. Why WOULDN'T they do the 78?
Deletedoes it at least come with a baseball bat?
ReplyDeleteMissed oppurtunity if they don't.
DeleteHeck; there's an RX-78-2 kit that comes with a spoon FFS.
The baseball collab is really cool!
ReplyDeleteNot cool only in japan
ReplyDeleteThe paint schemes are actually really dang good!~
ReplyDeleteThe black, green, orange and yellow ones look great. Probably get them.
ReplyDeleteAll this reminds me of is the baseball episode of Gundam Build Fighters, and I love it.
