Iron-Blooded Orphans License acquired by Funimation, Announces Special Limited-Edition Release

Funimation licenses both seasons of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans TV anime series in partnership with Sunrise. It will be releasing the first season on DVD/ Blu-ray in two parts around late 2017, the second season will follow in 2018.

The company has also announced that the limited edition release will be bundled with an exclusive HG 1/144 Gundam Barbatos with Smoothbore Gun [Metallic Gloss Injection]. This kit will only be exclusive to the home video version of the series and will not be available anywhere else, even in Japan. The limited edition didn't end its surprise with the HG Barbatos kit, it will also come with limited edition artbook and chipboard box with space for the two part release of its second season.

These were announced during their Anime Expo panel on Saturday, June 30, 2017.

Both seasons of the Iron-Blooded Orphans are being streamed in Daisuki and Gundam.info.
