After years of Keroro obsessing over GunPla, it has finally happened officially.
The upcoming New Theatrical Movie Sgt. Frog: Upon Revival, Immediately Facing the Threat of Earth's Destruction! has revealed a full collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam, including brand-new crossover illustrations and fresh footage showing the Keroro Platoon fighting side-by-side with Gundam mobile suits.
This marks the very first official collaboration between the Sgt. Frog and Gundam franchises, which honestly feels unbelievable considering how much Gundam references have filled Sergeant Keroro over the years.
The newly released artwork includes three special illustrations drawn by Sgt. Frog creator Mine Yoshizaki, each paying tribute to the classic promotional posters for the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy originally illustrated by legendary Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko.
Meanwhile, Yasuhiko himself contributed a brand-new illustration featuring Amuro Ray, Char Aznable, and Keroro linking arms together in friendship. Seeing Gundam’s most iconic rivals casually hanging out with Keroro somehow feels perfectly normal.
Fans also got a glimpse of animated footage featuring the Keroro Platoon and Gundam fighting together, pushing the crossover even further beyond simple promotional art.
The film will be the first Sgt. Frog anime movie in 16 years since Keroro Gunso the Super Movie: Creation! Ultimate Keroro, Wonder Space-Time Island, and it is scheduled to open in Japan on June 26, 2026.
For longtime anime fans, this crossover feels less like a random collaboration and more like something destiny finally caught up with.
