The battle-scarred European front of the One Year War is returning to home video this summer as the Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Blu-ray BOX Special Limited Edition is set to launch on August 26. Pre-orders have opened today through A-on STORE and participating retailers.
The six-episode series explores a new side of the One Year War, following soldiers caught in the fierce fighting across Europe. While fans can still watch the series on Netflix, the upcoming Blu-ray BOX offers a collection of exclusive bonuses and behind-the-scenes materials not available through streaming.
Leading the release is a special storage box featuring newly drawn artwork by mechanical supervisor Kimitoshi Yamane. The bonus disc also offers a closer look at the production, including promotional videos, 3D model materials of the mobile suits featured in the series, making-of footage, and the two pilot films created during development.
Fans can also look forward to a 24-page special booklet and a two-disc Film Edition soundtrack composed by Wilbert Roget II. It marks the first physical soundtrack release for Requiem for Vengeance, making it one of the standout additions included with the set.
Participating retailers will also offer an illustration sheet featuring the newly created storage box artwork as a purchase bonus while supplies last.
