MG 1/100 Sinanju Stein (Narrative) Ver. Ka - Release Info, Box art and Official Images

MG 1/100 Sinanju Stein (Narrative) Ver. Ka
Release Date: June 2024
Price: 8,800 Yen

Bandai Spirits has announced the release of the Sinanju Stein (Narrative ver.) to join the MG Ver. Ka lineup in June 2024. This kit consists of newly molded parts not seen on its 2019 counterpart.

The markings represent a fresh Ver.Ka original concept created by Mr. Katoki. This design aims to obscure its connection to the "Sleeves," featuring the identical emblem found on the shoulders and front skirt as seen on the red Sinanju. These markings are replicated using water transfer decals.

Articulation Points/ Gimmicks
  • The knees have a dual joint system that allows for deep bending, as well as equivalent divisions in the knee pads. The knee joints and interior features are revealed in this articulation. The moveable ankle guard ensures flexibility, and the split sole of the foot prevents ankle movement from being restricted.
  • Because of the knee pad (knee cover) and leg thrusters, the knee joint is nearly unnoticeable.
  • By moving the arm, the forearm armor can be lifted up, and the beam saber may be kept on the back side.
  • The thrusters on the legs are raised by lift arms and can be maneuvered in a variety of ways.
  • It includes two beam axes and joint pieces to recreate the connected form. The handle and blade (beam oscillation part) of the Beam Ax are independent, allowing you to choose between two mounting options.
  • Corrections to the beam ax handle and joint pieces have been included to indicate unevenness in 0.2 to 0.3 mm increments.
  • Two types of Zoltan Akkanen 1/100 scale figures are included: sitting and standing.

The idea behind the carvings on the cuffs and chest was to make it look like a sleeved remnant of the Neo Zeon army. The curve-based pattern is divided into discrete pieces and replicated in molded colors in the kit.

The four-part molded decorative chest region doubles as the cockpit hatch. You may achieve a finish that closely like the movie by simply building it, as the anime uses molded colors to replicate its hues.

The purpose of the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein was to evaluate the Psycho-Frame's resilience and follow-up skills. The remnants of Neo Zeon, known as the Sleeves, later took possession of two Mobile Suit units, identified by the development code "Stein 01". One of the units was modified to become the MSN-06S Sinanju, which serves as the organization's flagship MS. The other unit, which was seen in UC 0097 during the battle for the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex, was adorned with the engravings that eventually gave rise to the group's moniker, The Sleeves.

Two Sinanju Stein units were being transferred in the Earth Federation's Clop-class cruiser Unkai in U.C. 0094 when the Sleeves apprehended them. One of the units, which served as the organization's flagship MS and was refurbished as the MSN-06S Sinanju, was lost in the course of the Laplace Incident. The MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein, the other unit, was observed on the battlefield in UC 0097 during the battle against the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex, which had entered the Earth Sphere. It faces the Phenex and RX-9 Narrative Gundam by channeling its pilot's rage into energy.
