Premium Bandai has announced the release of the Gundam L.O. Booster, created by the original mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu. This new model not only expands the story of "Mobile Suit Gundam W DUAL STORY G-UNIT," but it also introduces a significant technological advancement in the form of the most recent High Grade (HG) model kit.
Advanced Transformation Capabilities: One of the most striking features of the Gundam L.O. Booster is its ability to transform into a high-speed flight mode. This transformation is facilitated by a movable gimmick, allowing the mobile suit to swiftly adapt its form for aerial mobility.
Enhanced Armament and Armor: The addition of new armor and reinforced parts, including a uniquely shaped head and chest, are meticulously reproduced with new modeling techniques. The shoulders and reactor unit have been designed to rotate and expand, mimicking the functionality of wings.
Variable Leg Configuration: The Gundam L.O. Booster incorporates an innovative leg transformation mechanism. This includes rotating axes that allow the legs to morph without the need to interchange parts. Additionally, the legs feature an "Expand Claw" mechanism, enhancing both its aesthetic and operational capabilities.
Integrated Weapon Systems
Thrust Beam Cannon: This Gundam has a high-output beam cannon that simulates fire through PET material effect components mounted to the sides.
Lightweight Accelerated Submachine Gun and Reactive Shield: The mobile suit is equipped with a submachine gun that can be extended forward for assaults, as well as a reactive shield that supports a beam sword, making it ready for close combat.
The effect parts are a nice bonus, and I like what they did to the flight mode.
ReplyDeleteEspecially considering what the original one was like, you think Wing Gundams Bird mode is lazy?
Check out the L.O Booster and see if you can still say that!
Looks like something from SEED or G-Reco.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything else from G-Unit left to do?
Checking the wiki; it's just the Hydra, Burnlapius, Griepe, Leo-N, Leo-R and the Suivant versions of the Mercurius/Vayeate.
The Leo and Mer/Vey variants should be relatively easy since their base MS exist as HGs.
I hope they do a burnlapius!
Deleteum, will we get to see the G-Leos?
DeleteI looked at this too fast and thought it said Gundam Lobster.
ReplyDeleteI Wish that Bandai can give as a Revive 2.0 HG Extreme Gundam Exa, Extreme Gundam Agios, Extreme Gundam Type Leos II in Next Phase Project in next event in Japan 🗾
