Premium Bandai has announced the release of the Master Grade 1/100 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 "Phenex" in spectacular Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative) colors. This special edition gives the legendary Phenex a new and lively design, with a dazzling deep yellow gold tone plating that differs from the conventional white gold coating featured on standard version.
This release celebrates the successful screening of the Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative film in November 2018.
To compliment its spectacular appearance, the kit includes newly designed decals that offer further detail and depth to the finished kit. These decals allow enthusiasts to personalize their Phenex, giving it a distinctive look that sets it apart from other versions.
The "Narrative" variant of the Phenex stands out for its Armed Armor DEs, which are equipped with tail-like stabilizers for greater attitude control. These stabilizers not only improve the model's appearance, but they also serve a functional purpose by allowing the Armed Armor DEs to be utilized as remote-controlled weapons. This function adds an original element to the model, demonstrating its adaptability and battle prowess.
The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex represents rebirth and resilience, much like the mythological phoenix. The Phenex, which was secretly developed under the guidance of an Earth Federation Space Force (E.F.S.F.) official who opposed the Vist Foundation's involvement in the UC Project, represents the culmination of data from Units 1 and 2, paired with a psycho-frame body. Its design deviates from the Unicorn motif, instead featuring the majestic and ornate imagery of a phoenix, replete with a golden body and a more intricate horn/V fin.
The Phenex is equipped with a formidable array of accessories, ensuring it is ready for any battle scenario:
Beam Magnum: A high-powered beam rifle that is a staple weapon of the Unicorn Gundam series.
4x Beam Saber: Ensuring close-quarters combat superiority.
2x Armed Armor DE + Stabilizers: Enhancing both offense and defense, these units can be deployed for remote attacks or for added maneuverability.

My God another unicorn and the third phenex to be announced for THIS YEAR. I love the unicorn, but I wouldn't mind no releases for the next...ten years
ReplyDeleteDon't buy it. It's not like Bandai has a gun to your head and is forcing you to buy every unicorn kit.
DeleteOf all the things P-Bandai should be doing, this is not one of them.
ReplyDeleteThe high price point makes it a good candidate for Bluefin to handle like the MG Trans Am Qan[T] and Seven Sword Special Coating. Whether they want to handle this *and* the HG Gold Coating is another question though.
ReplyDeleteI heard the MG phenex was not undergated so nub marks are seen all over the kit.
ReplyDeletejust a bit of tamiya gold paint and they're barely noticable
DeleteThe original wasn't P-Bandai, so I guess they wanted to make this new updated version P-Bandai? I think a PG version will get made and it'll be P-Bandai as well. But didn't they already do a P-Bandai of the normal Phoenix?
ReplyDelete鋤鍋物焼 Hey Water Technique 629, this is a UC news. Why do you care for something you claim to not a fan of? Go back to your box fortress.
Delete$40 extra just for the tails? definitely not worth it
ReplyDeleteI doubt it's p.bandai. They just updated the release schedule and there is no pb next to it like the other exclusive kits.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why so many people have a problem with this being a P-Bandai kit. The only new additions are the flight stabilizers on the armed armour DEs. Adding 1 or 2 new plates to an already existing MG kit are the kind of kits that are supposed to be sold as P-bandai exclusives.
ReplyDeleteMaking one of the main mobile suits of the new series as p-bandai. Not a good decision, Bandai.
ReplyDeleteSomeday son, must have this kit
ReplyDeleteBought and built this kit, the coating is shinier than the OVA as I have that too. It's back heavy though, so you should reinforce the waist connection. I love the kit even if it was a pain yo build and de-nub.
