New York Comic Con 2026 is getting a major dose of Gundam excitement this October, as Bandai Namco Filmworks brings MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ZERO to the event with a special panel packed with new information.
The upcoming title serves as the highly anticipated prequel to MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM, which opened in Japan on January 26, 2024 and went on to become the highest-grossing Gundam film in Japanese box office history. Now, fans attending NYCC will get an early look at what is next for the SEED series.
The GUNDAM Showcase 2026 @ NYC - Feat. SEED FREEDOM ZERO Panel will take place on Thursday, October 8, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM EDT at the NYCC Main Stage. The event will feature special guests and new information on MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ZERO, along with the latest Gundam news, upcoming initiatives, and fan experiences.
And yes, there will be goodies too.
Attendees can look forward to receiving items including a T-shirt, a Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO poster, a promotional card for the Gundam Card Game, a GunPla shopping bag, and a Gundam Introduction Book. Additional items are also planned.
But fans outside New York will not be left staring at their phones waiting for someone to post the news.
A special GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL NYCC Tie-In Stream is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Thursday, October 8 at approximately 3:45 PM EDT. The program will share the latest news on MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ZERO with fans around the globe.
The stream will deliver the same updates announced during the NYCC event, although it will not be a live broadcast or recording of the panel itself.
NYCC visitors can also check out the Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Booth #2619, which will serve as a major Gundam hub during the convention, along with the TAMASHII NATIONS Booth #2417 for special exhibits, Gundam products, and more.
With MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM ZERO finally heading to one of North America's biggest pop culture events, October 8 is shaping up to be a date SEED fans will want to keep clear.
New York Comic Con 2026 takes place from October 8 to October 11, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
