When the gates of Expo 2025 in Osaka closed on October 13, it marked not only the end of a world event but also the closing of a chapter that many of us had stepped into, even if only for a fleeting moment. Among the many pavilions that captured imaginations, the Gundam Next Future Pavilion stood apart. For Gundam fans, it became a bridge between passion, possibility, and the shared dreams that continue to unite us across generations.

The centerpiece, the kneeling RX-78F00/E Gundam, stood as both a tribute to Gundam’s past and a symbol of its future. Stationary yet powerful in presence. It was a reminder of how far Gundam has come as a cultural icon, and how it continues to inspire us to look beyond ourselves toward the horizon of what could be.

Walking into the pavilion felt like stepping into a vision of tomorrow. The immersive experience, the atmosphere, the very design of the space made you believe, even only for a while, it made us believe that Gundam’s universe wasn’t just fiction, but a future waiting to unfold. It was a place where fans could stand shoulder to shoulder, united by wonder, and feel that their dreams had taken shape in steel and light.

Now, with the expo behind us, one question lingers: Where will the RX-78F00/E appear again? For now, no one knows. Perhaps it will rise again in a museum, perhaps at another event, or perhaps in a permanent home dedicated to keeping its spirit alive. Until then, it remains in memory, a guardian of our imagination, preserved in photographs, videos, and the stories we share.

The end of the pavilion brings a touch of sadness, but also a deep sense of fulfillment. We were there. We experienced it. And even though the moment was fleeting, its impact continues to endure. The Gundam Next Future Pavilion may no longer stand, but the feeling it left behind, a mixture of awe, hope, and unity, will remain with us always.
