From Mobile Suit Moon Gundam, the striking Varguil enters the High Grade series as a Gundam Base exclusive—now upgraded with the head and Psycho Plate of the Psycho Gundam Mk-IV G-Doors for an imposing new silhouette!

A lesser-known prototype mobile suit, the Varguil was initially developed as a testbed for advanced Psycommu systems. Though conceived with next-generation capabilities, its original Psycommu setup was ultimately replaced by a more conventional cockpit system. Designed with a power plant delivering 1.5 times the output of a standard Geara Doga, the Varguil also features armor composed of durable Gundarium alloy.

Its design prioritizes agility, with numerous thrusters distributed across its frame to maximize mobility. Despite its speed and responsiveness surpassing that of other experimental units, it fell short of rivaling the performance of the Jagd Doga, particularly due to the latter's superior Psycho-Frame-equipped cockpit.

Following a skirmish with Londo Bell forces, the Varguil sustained heavy damage. During repairs, it was outfitted with the head unit of the Psycho Gundam Mk-IV G-Doors—a relic from the remnants of the Titans that had drifted to the Moon Moon colony. This reconstructed variant differs from the original with several notable modifications: it lacks propellant tanks and funnels, possesses only a single funnel rack, and is later equipped with eight detachable Psycho Plates derived from the G-Doors.
