Gundam TCG Set to Launch at NASA’s Johnson Space Center on December 8

The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is about to enter the trading card game (TCG) arena with the highly anticipated Gundam Card Game, launching at a world premiere event on December 8, 2024, at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston. 

Bandai's announcement reveals that press, influencers, and retailers attending the event will have an exclusive opportunity to play the game ahead of its North American “Edition Beta” release in January 2025 and full global launch later in the year.

The Gundam Card Game will debut in three languages—Japanese, English, and Chinese—ensuring accessibility for fans across the globe. Combining strategic gameplay with iconic elements from the Gundam universe, the game brings mobile suits, pilots, and battleships to life in an innovative TCG format.

What’s Included in the "Gundam Card Game Edition Beta"?
The Edition Beta set is packed with everything players need to start battling in the Gundam universe.

Each set includes:

• 16 Booster Packs: Featuring 9 cards per pack.
• Fixed Card Set: A curated deck of 56 cards.
• Legend Rare Card: An exclusive card included in the Beta set.
• Game Essentials: A playsheet and six dice for damage tracking.

Gameplay

The Gundam Card Game introduces a dynamic and strategic gameplay system designed to immerse players in the Gundam universe. The game features:

• Unit Cards: Representing Mobile Suits from various Gundam series.
• Pilot Cards: Attach these to Mobile Suits to enhance their power or trigger unique abilities.

Players build decks with 50 cards, carefully strategizing the composition of Units, Pilots, and Commands. "Linked Units" are formed when specific Pilot and Mobile Suit pairs combine, unlocking special abilities for additional tactical depth.
