Bandai Spirits has announced a magnificent rebirth to mark the 45th anniversary of both the iconic Gundam series and the GunPla model kit. Fans of the franchise may be interested in the revival of the 1980s RX-78-2 Gundam model kit under the "Best Mecha Collection" GunPla lineup, which has been updated to meet the needs of modern builders. This time it requires no glue, paint, or tools to assemble, as opposed to the original version, which required all three.

This special anniversary edition celebrates not only the Gundam series' lasting appeal, but also its growth throughout the years. The first ever 1/144 RX-78-2 model kit, issued in the early days of Gundam, required a significant amount of assembly, including gluing and painting, which was standard technique for model kits at the time. However, with to breakthroughs in manufacturing and design, the revitalized model kit allows even inexperienced builders to effortlessly assemble their own Gundam, making the joy of model-building accessible to a wider audience.

Bandai Spirits unveiled the HG 1/144 Murasame Kai model kit at the recent 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show. This model is a considerable enhancement over the old MVF-M11C Murasame, with improved design components, a better transformation mechanism, and the inclusion of the advanced SEED action system, which highlights its role in the anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom."

The Murasame Kai is the Orb National Defense Force's primary transforming mobile suit, and it plays an important role in frontline operations. Veteran pilot Mu La Flaga's personal unit was vital in a critical fight against the Black Knight Squad in the Eurasian Federation, making it one of the most dramatic uses of the Murasame Kai. Despite being severely damaged, Mu's Murasame Kai remained operational long enough to facilitate a critical evacuation, demonstrating its adaptability and battle ability.

Bandai Spirits has revealed CG images of their next GunPla kit, the HG 1/144 Zaku II Solari. This model is set to debut in "Gundam Requiem for Vengeance," a highly anticipated Netflix original net animation (ONA) series known for its pioneering usage of Unreal Engine 5.

The Zaku II Solari, piloted by the series' protagonist Iria Solari, exhibits an astounding level of detail and color separation. In an homage to the iconic Zaku II units, the kit includes the traditional Zaku machine gun, shoulder shield, and heat hawk, all are recreated to fit the artistic goal of "Requiem for Vengeance.".

From the manga series "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury - Vanadis Heart," a new mobile suit known as the Beguir-Beu Torche has emerged. This mobile suit is a variant of the Beguir-Beu, which initially appeared in the PROLOGUE episode of the anime series.

The Beguir-Beu Torche maintains the core design elements of the original Beguir-Beu but features unique modifications and enhancements that distinguish it from its predecessor. The Gundam F90 A to Z project continues with the introduction of the F90III-Y Cluster Gundam in the Premium Bandai Master Grade GunPla collection. This Gundam initially appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam Silhouette Formula 91 manga series set in UC 0123.

It accurately reproduces various mechanisms, such as docking with the Core Fighter F90Ⅲ and equipping mission packs.

The F90III-Y Cluster Gundam, a trial production model and the third in the Formula 90 series, was developed by the Earth Federation Forces' Strategic Naval Research Institute. Unlike previous F90 models, the Cluster Gundam featured a Core Block System serving as its cockpit and backpack, significantly increasing pilot survival rates. Continuing the trend of utilizing various Mission Packs for different tasks, the F90III comes equipped with multiple hardpoints for attaching diverse equipment. It boasts numerous beam weapons, including the highly regarded mega beam bazooka, recently adopted by the Federation army. There is speculation that the F90III was considered for the new VSBR weapon installation.

Premium Bandai has officially completed the updated versions of the main mobile suits of the Gundam Wing series with the announcement of Altron Gundam in the HGAC GunPla line.

The HGAC Altron Gundam comes with a unique backpack that holds a pair of Wing Binders as well as a Twin Beam Cannon. It also has a "Altron Shield" shield mounted to its left shoulder armor, akin to the Shenlong Gundam, as well as a Twin Beam Trident, an improved version of Shenlong's Beam Glaive.

The arms are foldable, allowing the Altron Gundam to perform a variety of fighting tactics and stances. A gigantic claw-like weapon in the shape of a dragon's head is attached to its forearms and folds forward when utilized.

The Altron Gundam was developed from the debris of the Shenlong Gundam, with Gundam scientists covertly upgrading the mobile suit with additional technology and armament at the OZ's production facility on the moon. The Altron, like its predecessor, is a close combat unit, but its upgraded weaponry give it improved ranged warfare capabilities.

Premium Bandai announces the release of the Gundam F90 in August for its initial release! The kit has an entirely new mold that offers great range of articulation and quality! The kit also has good selections of extension parts that will be released as Premium Bandai kits as well.

Bandai Spirits and Premium Bandai will be announcing more extension parts for this kit as they progress with the Gundam F90 A to Z project. The project aims to deliver mission packs A through Z for the Gundam F90! The mission pack units will be sold separately as expansion parts in Premium Bandai official webshop.

As part of the "Formula Project," the Strategic Naval Research Institute developed the Gundam F90, a prototype designed to create smaller mobile suits. Unlike the RX-78-2 Gundam, which stands at 18 meters, the Gundam F90 is only 14.8 meters tall. This reduction in size was achieved by using a micro-honeycomb structure from Yashima Heavy Industries, making its armor and frame significantly lighter. Despite its compact size, the Gundam F90 features a reactor that produces 1.5 times the output of earlier models. With 51 attitude control thrusters, it is exceptionally agile and maneuverable. A total of three units were built, known as Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3.
