Gundam SEED FREEDOM Special Edition: Limited Screening with 500+ New Scenes Starts Sept 20!

Exciting news for Gundam SEED fans! A special edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM," the highest-grossing film in the Gundam series, will be screened once again for a limited time starting Friday, September 20th, 2024. 

The special edition will feature over 500 updated scenes from the original film, along with brand-new epilogue cuts.

The screenings will be divided into two parts. The first part will run from September 20th to October 3rd, and the second part will take place from November 1st to November 14th. Each part will feature different epilogue cuts, offering fans a unique experience.

To commemorate the special screening, an announcement video featuring characters Kira and Lacus has been released, along with comments from voice actors Soichiro Hoshi, Rie Tanaka, and director Mitsuo Fukuda. Additionally, a stage greeting event will be held on Friday, September 20th, at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, with appearances by Soichiro Hoshi, Kotono Mitsuishi, Houko Kuwashima, and director Mitsuo Fukuda.

Tickets for this event will be available through an advance lottery starting on Saturday, September 7th, at 11:00 AM.

As an added bonus, attendees of the special edition screening starting on September 20th will receive an original mini clear file featuring updated artwork.

SYNOPSIS

Set in the Cosmic Era year 75, the story continues amid persistent battles for independence and invading threats from Blue Cosmos. In an effort to calm the situation, a global peacekeeping organization called Compass is founded, with Lacus Clyne serving as its first president. Kira Yamato and his allies fight in a variety of battles as members of Compass. Amid these disputes, the Emerging Countries Foundation offers a coordinated operation with Compass to take down Blue Cosmos' headquarters, setting the stage for an epic clash.
