Premium Bandai adds the Gundnode to the High Grade lineup, with the unmanned mobile suit from the final episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury receiving a faithfully recreated model kit.
Created with entirely new molds, the kit captures the Gundnode's distinctive appearance in impressive detail. Clear parts are used throughout the Shell Units to recreate their glowing look from the anime, while included foil stickers allow builders to display the mobile suit in either its red or blue activation state.
One of the kit's standout features is its articulated back binder, which can be adjusted to recreate the Gundnode's light-emitting mode and Data Storm deployment. The flexibility also opens up a variety of display options inspired by scenes from the series.
The Gundnode's weaponry has also been faithfully recreated. Included is the Beam Rev Rifle, which can be transformed into its beam machine gun mode with a simple barrel rotation. Beam blade effect parts can also be attached to the forearms for dynamic combat displays.
To help recreate the climactic battles from the anime, the kit includes effect parts that represent the Data Storm network. By swapping certain backpack components and displaying multiple Gundnodes together, builders can recreate some of the series' most memorable moments.
Despite its detailed appearance, the kit is designed for straightforward assembly and offers a wide range of articulation, making it suitable for builders of all experience levels.
The Gundnode is an unmanned mobile suit developed for Prospera Mercury's Quiet Zero project in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. Housed within Quiet Zero, the units played a central role in Prospera's efforts to create a new world for Ericht Samaya.
The Gundnodes made their debut during the Space Assembly League's attempt to seize Quiet Zero. Operating in coordination with Gundam Aerial Rebuild, the unmanned mobile suits used the Data Storm network and Override capabilities to disable enemy systems, seize control of opposing weapons, and overwhelm the attacking fleet.
As the conflict escalated, the Gundnodes demonstrated a wide range of capabilities, including the generation of electromagnetic fields that could deflect beam attacks and interfere with advanced military systems. Their ability to expand Aerial Rebuild's influence over Permet-linked technology turned them into a decisive force on the battlefield.
Although relatively small in size, the Gundnodes played a pivotal role in the series' climax, acting as both a powerful defensive network and an extension of Ericht Samaya's reach throughout the battle.

Ah, the Quiet Zero drone/s.
ReplyDeleteMore Gundam shaped drones! I got 3 Gundvolvas, I might get 3 of these too
ReplyDeletesold out just a few mins after released.... very annoying! Why not regular release?
ReplyDeleteAlso, is there a channel where we can voice our requests so that Bandai can know that these things are in demand?
I wouldn't worry too much. There will be at least one reissue not too long after.
Deletedrones, pre-ordered by drones. I will be waiting for the US pre-order opening. Pretty sure it would be within the week.
