The Gundam Calibarn is a Gundam-tyle mobile suit that first debuted in Episode 22 of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime. It is piloted by the series' protagonist, Suletta Mercury.

During the Vanadis Incident, the Gundam Calibarn was seized by the Space Assembly League. It was also nicknamed "Monster" after the character Caliban in Shakespeare's The Tempest, from which it takes its name.

Unlike the other Gundam-type mobile suits, the Gundam Calibarn has no filters to reduce feedback from the GUND format data storm. However, it is able to maintain a higher Permet Score for the same amount of Permet.

Judging by the looks, it seems that its beam cannon was designed after a witch's broomstick. Which also gives boosts to the Gundam Calibarn's mobility when needed.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury airs nationally every Sunday on 28 MBS/TBS station in Japan and simulcasts on various streaming services worldwide. As of this writing, the show's second season will conclude with its 24th episode on Sunday July 2, 2023.
