55-year-old Yoshifumi Ushima, a singer-songwriter, lyricist and composer known for the theme song of Mobile Fighter G Gundam "FLYING IN THE SKY", passed away in the early hours of August 7, 2022, due to esophageal varices rupture.
Ujima was born in 1966 in Kochi prefecture. During his career, he devoted his life time to contribute mainly in anime industry by writing and singing songs for it.
His family have sent a warm message to all his fans and co-workers through his official twitter page during the announcement of his passing.
The funeral will remain private and will be exclusive to close friends and family members only.
His works and amazing talent will always be remembered, especially by all Gundam fans and community.
