A New SD Gundam Game to Arrive in PC and Consoles this Year

Bandai Namco Entertainment America announces that they will be releasing a new Gundam game titled SD Gundam: Battle Alliance to multiple platforms including; Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox ONE, Windows, and Steam! Though a release date was only set to anytime in 2022...for now.


First information appeared during the Nintendo Direct presentation on February 9th.



During its presentation, the game was described to have online co-op multiplayer and solo gameplays in dynamic action battles. You can also power up your Gundam as you progress with the game and story. The presentation also revealed that the Gundam universe timelines are suffering from "BREAKS", a strange incident where all Gundam universes are clashing among each other.

It's also confirmed that the following Gundam series and universes will be seen in the game.

    1. If the rumors are true, licensing costs. Supposedly SD gundam is big bundle itself, but if someone wants to use full size gundams they have to pay for each individual series.

    2. yep, its the licensing. to make you feel better just think about this, they are able to put more suits in the game due to the licensing for sd being cheaper. notice how sd games most of the time have more suits available compared to real-sized gundam games, same case for srw games

    4. Legally speaking, that's not how it works. Sunrise is a subsidiary of Bamco. Bamco still has to "do business" with Sunrise as it operates as a separate legal entity.

      This is to prevent shenanigans like say they start Bamco 2 Inc, then have every other subsidiary give things to Bamco 2 to claim that their new company makes over 9000% profits.
