Freedom Gundam Ready to Kickstart the Life-Size Project!

The decision to expand the 1:1 scale Gundam project continues with the release of the life-size Freedom Gundam from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series. The Freedom Gundam is the first life-sized Gundam to be installed abroad and is now being erected in front of the Mitsui Shipping Park LaLaport in Jinqiao, Shanghai, China as planned and announced during the China Gundam Conference 2020.


A video showing a quick view of what has been done so far was uploaded by Mean鸠 at the BiliBiili media website. The progress shows the the full leg structure of the Freedom Gundam, and looks like that it is now ready to support the rest of its body! Stay tuned for more updates as they progress the building of the statue!

The Gundam life-size project plans to deliver different possibilities in the future and hopes to realize their vision to see Gundam all over the world!
