Hiroto has successfully crafted another Planet System armor that equips large armaments (sold separately). The 6th Planet System, Saturn armor is compatible with the Core Gundam II, giving the full Gundam Form a next level close combat capabilities.
This unit is also given a pair of wheels installed on its feet armors for it to be able to move freely on ground battles and to give it a boost of speed when needed, also to escape easily from possible danger.
Core Gundam II, huh... I wonder what the detail differences will be.

DeleteThe head is different, sharper, more like the Zeta than the Age 1, upper arms are looking bulkier too, though that could be form specific (doubt it)

ReplyDeleteIts because in japanese saturn is土星 and from what i know 土 means soil or earth.
Deletethe reason why they probably used the japanese names instead of the physical appearance, and colors(for some) for the core gundam's forms purpose is beacuse the designers may have wanted the first 5 planets be the first ones to have been base on standard equipment or variant on mobile suits(space, underwater,close combat and heavy weapons) which explaines why mercury was the underwater type instead of neptune since the japanese of mercury is 水星 and 水 is suppsed to be water

ReplyDeleteBecause in Japanese Saturn is 土星 / "the ground planet". Thus the wheels for high speed ground movement, a drill for cutting through the ground, and so on.
DeleteHiroto (in the show) and Sunrise Beyond (in reality) based a majority of the functionality of the PLANETS system armors on the Japanese names of the planets. In fact the only one of these armors that doesn't really have anything to do with the Japanese name is Jupiter/"the wood planet"... because a Gundam made of wood is kinda a hard sell...
