In celebration of the completion of the Gundam Global Challenge, a 1/30 scale model of the "Walking Gundam" was revealed during the Gundam Yokohama press conference on January 20th. The model shows the full design and setup of the actual Gundam's hangar base where the walking motion presentation will take place.

This model represents the modernized version of the RX-78-2 Gundam. Inspired from Gundam's original design added with industrialized input by the engineers who made the walking motion possible for the 1/1 scale Gundam.


The website also reveals that visitors can visit the statue up-close, viewing from top of the deck called the Gundam Dock Tower. This one of a kind experience can be availed starting October 1st this year for one year until October 3rd of 2021.
