    1. So? The MG is 18 years old kit. Its like saying buying MG 1.0 is better than HG G40 Gundam.

    2. HG G40 is a piece of garbage for sheeple like you. You have no idea how good the MG Zeta A1 is, I bet you don't even have one to make your dumb comment. MG Zeta A1 has good design, articulation, and construction, an current HG cannot surpass the MG, the HG does not even have landing gear. Suck that.

    3. Btw, don't be ignorant. You are comparing HG to a MG, even at 18 years old, it is like your are comparing my old Ferrari to your new Civic. There is no comparison.

    4. The MG is still an incredibly solid kit, and it was way ahead of its time.

    5. You saying mine was a bad comparison(I picked up HG G40 as random thought.Should use RG instead because similar price) but your is not much different either. Why mentioned MG in the first place? It is well known MG is generally better than HG but you are comparing a MG from 18 years ago versus modern day HG just because the price is similar? Do you even know inflation? The cost developing back then is different than today. It will be a good argument if the MG is released around same time with HG.

    6. You should refrain from using big words that you do not understand. Go look HLJ, MG Zeta A1 Test is less than $25 US, which costs less than $30+ that it used to sell for. So much for your inflation theory. Bandai's modeling R&D is less labor intensive now since the employment of CAD and 3D print technology, thus again you are wrong. The MG Zeta A1 Test kit is still a very solid kit with excellent design, part number and construction. It beats this new HG that Bandai is coming out. But, we all know now you like to pay more for a lesser kit. Ha ha ha~~

    7. I like paying for a kit that can actually fit on my shelf and can complete in a day or so. Not every one has the shelf space and wallet to buy master grades. Like you said, it's like comparing an old Ferrari to a Honda civic, and as such, not every one can afford a Ferrari. Heck, some people may not even want a ferrari, some people want a car that's cheap and reliable. HG give a good and affordable representation of the mecha in a series without it breaking bank. Are MGs better then HG?, for the most part yes. But HG in recent years have been improving not only in articulations, but also in detail (I.e Moon gundam and HG origin kits). Some are not even looking for high detail, and just want a kit that's nice to play and pose by itself.
At the end of the day, what ever grade/scale you prefer, you shouldn't be demeaning some one for what they enjoy.

    8. Go read the very fist post from the beginning. No one is forcing you are anyone to buy anything. The original post is about for dollar to dollar, what is a better kit to have. The only demeaning comment I see is from the Haki dude demeaning a fine 18-year MG kit that has a great construction design even compare to new MG kits released today. So read and understand posts first. But to your arguments:

      1. MG Test A1 is now actually costs cheaper than this $27 HG kit, so unless you think $25 is more than $27, I can't help you with that.
      2. How much of a space do you actually need to put a MG model? It is only a plastic model, not a bookshelf or a desk.
      3. MG is like a Ferrari build for a figure of speech, not an actual car, please do understand that. If you think HG is more "reliable" and is the kit at your modeling level, then go buy one and build it in a day. But the message posted originally is about you will pay more for a less kit. That is the point.

  3. Agh! It doesn't have the right beam rifle! Literally the only reason I passed on the 2014 version.

    1. It's just a recolor of the Zeta Plus Unicorn Ver. Aside from the decals and color of the plastic it's the same exact kit. You're better off getting the MG or paint the standard HG, kitbash a beam rifle [if you have the skills].

  5. Too bad the hip articulation on the HGUC Zeta PLus is absolute garbage thanks to the way they attached the hip beam guns.

  6. I'm about to start building the 2014 version of this kit.
Is there any differences between the 2014 & 2020 version? (Aside from the decals being waterslides on the 2020 version)
