HEAD
- The kit is given an entirely new mold for its head, provided with better proportion to its body.
TORSO
- Updated with newly molded exterior parts! It also has an entirely new joint parts for its abdomen section to provide the kit with better articulation.
LEGS
- The armor parts of its legs were updated and gave the Re-GZ a better proportion and articulation. It is provided with new joint parts for a wider range of motion specially when transforming the the kit into its waverider mode.

ReplyDeleteWish they'd put the effort into making a HG Revive or a MG 2.0 of this instead of slightly tweaking old kits.
Finite resources. Any effort devoted in one location is detracted from another. So Bandai make allocations of manpower and budget based on expected returns.
DeleteThe HGUC is a decent kits. It don't need Revive.
DeleteWith all the Char's Counterattack releases within the past few years, I'm honestly surprised that they're doing this instead of a Re-GZ 2.0 or a Re-GZ ver KA.

ReplyDeleteNot really sure the small changes are worth it, though. The only complaint I have about the original MG is that the hands are absolute trash and can't hold it's rifle.
I saw it coming a mile away. Building the MG ReGZ Custom as I type this out, half of the new plates are labeled "Re-GZ Custom" but the other half are just "Re-Gz". I think the Custom looks really sharp, but the balljoint hips and the simple construction of the foot is pretty disappointing. I'd pickup the new Re-GZ if I could get it at a decent price.
DeleteIf you like ReGZ, then you will definitely love this "upgraded" kit. There's a lot of things that are fixed. The both of the shoulder and hip joint is changed, similar to the current MG articulation.
DeleteThe mold itself are also made so that the torso look better and the head doesn't seems too big compared to the old one.

ReplyDeleteYeah, perfectly understandable. This suit was probably on screen for about TWO FRAMES of animation. It appeared in the Ra Cailum's hangar near the beginning of episode 4 the first time we see the Tri Stars' Jestas launch at Dakar.

DeleteThis one kinda piques my interest. It kinda looks like the problem with the hands have been solved and since my problems with the torso are fixed. Plus, I'm in love with the colors.
