  1. It just now occurred to me... how does the shield attach to the arm? DOES the shield attach to the arm? Is it hand held? The hard points are covered up by the beam daggers...

    2. The picture isn't very clear... but I don't see how just the hand can support the whole shield if it is hand-held.

    1. To each their own. I think it looks fine despite the changes from the original design.

    2. Well considering it lacks its own beam rifle, has minimal accessories, is an origin that has to rely on stickers for color separation is anything but to each to their own, and that's not even discussing the changes to the original design. I hate to say it but I wouldn't be suprised if this doesn't sell well.

    3. I agree with you with the changes to the original design and accessories (they're kinda linked) but the parts separation is fine for an HG kit- it matches the lineart extremely well.

Just the yellow chest vents- easily painted with a gundam marker or paint, the knee vents- again easily painted, and the blue parts on the knees which decals will be provided for (or painted on with a gundam marker.) That is pretty damn good for an HG.

And hey- its a GM. They NEVER sell as well as Zakus or Gundams. I still love them and I'm still buying one. And I'm sure there will be plenty of people who feel the same.

    4. The vents aren't really that good when we're talking about a hg origin kit which is reowned constantly for it's great color separation. On top of it this is being released after the hg ground Gundam revive which fixed it's vent issue the old hg had. The blue parts could of also easily been separated. That's easily a set back compared to what came before, and quite honestly retool syndrome is hurting this release. Also about the gm not selling it was never about it being a gm, it was about how it's just a lackluster kit compared to far better and sometimes cheaper releases. Besides just compare the char Zaku 2 to this release, and I bet you asthectics wise aside people would choose the Zaku for overall being a better kit

    5. Well, I can't argue with you there... except that there are currently 10 Zaku releases in the Origin line, so I think if anyone wanted a Zaku they'd have gotten one by now.

This is something different. I think some people might just pick one up just for that fact. Or buy another Zaku. I can't control people. All I can do is confirm MY pre-order.

The kit is far from perfect sure, but its no where near an awful kit. All the problems you listed are easily fixed as I mentioned. (Well, with the exception of cost.) Just chill and let us GM fans be happy.

  3. Still think the head is kinda ugly, but I might get one to use its parts for a kitbash or something...

    1. I've been hearing that a lot. I personally love the head design. Different people are attracted to different things I guess.

  4. It's actually pretty cool. Anyway, the shield looks bland to me. I wish there are few gimmicks on it.

  5. Besides all the arguments about how it looks and the sticker issue this kit ask. I think there elephant in the room we're missing here is; the fact it comes with stickers that read 69 on them! XD
