From Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray comes the RG 1/144 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu, bringing one of the most iconic Astray variants into the RG lineup with a brand-new interpretation packed with detail, gimmicks, and customization options.

Bandai goes all in on recreating the Gold Frame Amatsu’s aggressive silhouette, from its sharp armor design to the massive Maga no Ikutachi mounted on the back. The RG treatment gives the mobile suit a much more mechanical and layered appearance, perfectly matching the sinister aura fans remember from Rondo Gina Sahaku’s machine. Weapons such as the Trikeros Kai, Magashira no Hoko, and Maga no Ikutachi are all included, with deployment and extension gimmicks faithfully recreated for display.

One of the biggest highlights is the ability to recreate the “unfinished” Amatsu configuration for the very first time in GunPla form. Selectable parts allow builders to swap between the completed Amatsu and its incomplete state, featuring newly molded sections for the temples, left shoulder, left thigh, and the original Trikeros shield system before its later modifications. The detailed RG-style sculpting gives even the incomplete form a completely different presence on display.

The included Trikeros can also mount a beam saber effect part at the tip, while the Trikeros Kai comes loaded with the familiar offensive shield equipment fans know from the series. Combined with the Amatsu’s Mirage Colloid-inspired stealth image and intimidating black armor, the entire kit feels like it was designed to stand apart from the rest of the Astray line.

For longtime SEED Astray fans, this release feels like a perfect match for the RG brand. The Gold Frame Amatsu already had one of the coolest designs in the Cosmic Era, but seeing its transformation from the damaged original Gold Frame into the upgraded black-armored form recreated with modern RG engineering makes this one hit even harder. The inclusion of both the completed and unfinished configurations also gives the kit extra value for collectors who love displaying evolution between forms.

Included weapons are the Trikeros Kai, Trikeros, Maga no Ikutachi, and Magashira no Hoko.

  1. Tbf, bandai included some of standard astray leg parts. Just order or buy rg astray feet junk parts, and you can recreate gina's amatsu.
