“Mobile Suit Gundam” is getting a stylish new collaboration with character fragrance brand Primaniacs, bringing fragrances inspired by four iconic characters from the original series: Amuro Ray, Char Aznable, Sayla Mass, and Lalah Sune.
Launching on August 21, the lineup feels like something made specifically for longtime Universal Century fans. Instead of another standard anime collectible, these fragrances let fans carry a little piece of their favorite characters in a completely different way. It is honestly hard not to get curious about how Char’s fragrance compares to Amuro’s.
Primaniacs’ premium bottle designs also give the collection a clean and classy look that feels right at home beside a GunPla display or Gundam merchandise shelf. They come across more like collector items than simple novelty goods.
Character fragrances have become increasingly popular in Japan over the last few years, and Gundam fits surprisingly well into that space. Focusing on Amuro, Char, Sayla, and Lalah gives the lineup a strong classic Universal Century atmosphere that older fans will probably appreciate immediately.
