STRICT-G and ALPHA INDUSTRIES present Gundam SEED FREEDOM flight jackets.

STRICT-G, the apparel business known for incorporating the universe of Gundam into its designs, has partnered up with ALPHA INDUSTRIES to offer a special edition of flight jackets inspired by "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" in a unique blend of anime and military fashion. The cooperation debuts the "LIGHT MA-1 NATUS" series, which will be available for purchase beginning March 2, 2024. Fans and fashion fans alike can look forward to a product that not only pays homage to the legendary anime series, but also adds a touch of modern military style to their wardrobe. Each jacket costs 41,800 yen (tax included).

The jackets are a modern take on the old L-2B flight jacket, preserving the classic form but lacking the heavy batting of the MA-1 type. This iteration features a retractable hood for adaptability and a streamlined design that is appropriate for contemporary fashion trends. The coats have an attractive shine and lightweight comfort, making them ideal for usage in all seasons.

The partnership includes two separate designs inspired by "SEED FREEDOM" characters: the Kira Yamato and Orpheus Ram Tao models. Each version embodies the soul of its individual character through carefully chosen colors, patterns, and symbol patches, establishing a link between the user and the Gundam universe.

Kira Yamato Model

This model is made of RP blue fabric, with the bottom of the sleeves in a contrasting color scheme inspired by the film's costumes. The jacket has COMPS insignia, patches, and reflector portions on the front and sleeves, which add to the military look. A heather gray, detachable hood complements the RP blue, and a Kira Yamato ribbon hangs from the left sleeve.

Orphee Lam Tao Model

This jacket has a dramatic black base and lower sleeves that mirror the movie's costume designs. It, like its counterpart, has an all-over design, Foundation insignia, patches, and reflector portions to highlight its military heritage. The matching hood is removable, and the left sleeve has an Orphee Lam Tao ribbon, which distinguishes this model with its characteristic black and gold color scheme.

Pre-orders kick off at 13:00 on March 1st JST, exclusively at the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai. Additionally, purchasers from Premium Bandai or STRICT-G stores will receive a special acrylic stand featuring original illustrations of Kira and Orpheus donning the flight jackets, making this a collectible item not to be missed.
