Bandai has officially revealed the HG 1/144 Gundam Spiegel AKA Shadow Gundam from “Mobile Fighter G Gundam,” bringing one of the series’ most memorable mobile fighters into the modern HG lineup with completely newly sculpted parts and an impressive set of action gimmicks.

The legendary ninja mobile fighter from “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” is finally making its long-awaited arrival in the HGFC GunPla lineup. Gundam Spiegel, piloted by Schwarz Bruder, brings one of the most stylish and unforgettable mobile fighters in the entire franchise back into the spotlight with a brand-new modern kit.

From its deadly Spiegel Blades mounted on the forearms to the iconic Sturm und Drang spinning attack, Gundam Spiegel perfectly captured the over-the-top martial arts action that made Mobile Fighter G Gundam such a fan favorite. Its stealth-inspired design, dark color scheme, and ninja-like combat style continue to stand out decades later.

The kit faithfully recreates Gundam Spiegel’s unique design and color separation through finely divided parts, giving the mobile fighter a clean appearance straight out of the box. As expected from a G Gundam release, articulation is a major highlight here, allowing dynamic martial arts poses along with action scenes inspired by its special techniques.

Its signature Spiegel Blades feature retractable handles and rotating blades, while interchangeable hand parts with movable wrists allow fans to recreate throwing poses for the Messer Glanz or dramatic attack stances. A dedicated hand part for holding the Messer Glanz between the fingers is also included for even more anime-accurate posing.

One of the biggest surprises is the inclusion of an original HG-exclusive gimmick supervised by G Gundam general director Yasuhiro Imagawa. The kit comes with five scroll parts inspired by ninjutsu techniques including Fire Release, Water Release, Wind Release, Wood Release, and Earth Release. Each scroll features kanji and German text, and they are even made from a special paper material containing washi elements that can actually be unrolled like real ninja scrolls. A scroll holder can also be attached to the rear skirt armor for storage.

To complete the package, Bandai included a newly designed rotating stand that recreates Gundam Spiegel’s devastating Sturm und Drang attack. By extending the Spiegel Blades and mounting the kit onto the stand, fans can display the mobile fighter spinning like a top exactly as seen in the series.

The Core Lander can also separate and combine, adding another layer of playability to the release.

The reveal already has longtime G Gundam fans hyped, especially as the HGFC lineup continues to grow with more iconic mobile fighters from the series. More details and official images are expected once Premium Bandai officially opens pre-orders for the kit.
