MG 1/100 Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame
Release Date: December 2026
Price: 8,250 yen

Bandai Spirits has officially unveiled the MG 1/100 Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame from the manga series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ASTRAY. After being teased in a short preview video back on October 15, the latest addition to the Master Grade lineup is finally here, bringing a completely refreshed take on the iconic Astray Red Frame.

Set for release in December 2026 at 8,250 yen, this new MG kit features newly molded exterior armor and a completely redesigned internal frame built for what Bandai describes as the highest level of articulation in MG history. The updated structure aims to deliver more dynamic and natural posing, especially when recreating action scenes from the SEED Freedom Astray manga.

Bandai also highlighted that the kit includes the largest number of interlocking gimmicks ever implemented in a Master Grade model. Alongside the new engineering, the Liberty Astray Red Frame comes equipped with newly designed weapons and accessories, including a redesigned shield and beam rifle.

Of course, the Astray’s signature Gerbera Straight and Tiger Pierce are both included. The weapons feature a new gimmick that allows them to attach directly onto the rifle, adding even more display possibilities. Special hand parts are also included to let the mobile suit hold the sheath naturally for dramatic sword-drawing poses.

  1. Wow. Somebody on Instagram actually called that it was gonna be an Astray. Good for them!

BUT. If this is the only retail MG release for the next 6-8 months... color me disappointed =(.
