A legend returns—with a twist. Tamashii Nations has officially announced the release of METAL ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> RX-78-2 Gundam (GQ – The Other Side), a mysterious version of the original Gundam as seen in episodes 11 and 12 of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.


Piloted by Shūji Itō, this RX-78-2 appears from “the other side,” stirring speculation among fans. While little is revealed about its origins in the series, its specs and silhouette are nearly identical to the original Gundam—suggesting it may be more than just a copy.

The figure is styled to evoke the classic 1979 anime look, enhanced with modern METAL ROBOT SPIRITS craftsmanship—featuring diecast parts, premium detailing, and sharp articulation.

Tamashii Nations has confirmed that full product details will be revealed on June 27, 2025.
