RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero
Release Date: September 2025
Price: 4,620 Yen

Bandai Spirits has unveiled the latest entry in the Real Grade (RG) GunPla lineup—Wing Gundam Zero—featuring a completely new design and upgraded articulation. This meticulously crafted kit captures the essence of the iconic mobile suit with advanced engineering and exclusive RG gimmicks, delivering unparalleled detail and poseability. Released in celebration of Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary.

Key Features:

Advanced "Wing Binder" Articulation
The Wing Binder, known for its exceptional mobility and flight capabilities, is equipped with a 5-axis movable joint, allowing for dynamic and natural posing. Additionally, an interlocking vernier system enables synchronized movement of the unit, extending the internal nozzle and deploying the fins.

Transformation into Neo Bird Form

By rearranging parts, Wing Gundam Zero can transform into its Neo Bird form. The leg tip transformation mechanism enhances its appearance, replicating the experience from the anime.

Highly Articulated Body and Hidden Gimmicks
  • The shoulder armor opens to reveal the internal vernier, while the beam sabers can be stored inside.
  • The cockpit hatch and chest intake cover are designed to open and close.
  • A deployable machine cannon is integrated into the top of the chest intake.
  • The hip joint features independent swing axes, improving articulation and posing flexibility.
  • A knee armor interlocking system ensures smooth bending by deploying the knee and shin armor in sync.
Enhanced Weaponry and Accessories
  • The Twin Buster Rifle can be combined or separated, with an extendable and retractable barrel for a more dynamic firing effect.
  • The shield includes an extendable nose block and an interlocking small wing gimmick exclusive to RG.
  • A locking mechanism in the weapon handle ensures a firm grip when holding the Twin Buster Rifle.
Included Accessories:
  • Twin Buster Rifle ×1
  • Beam Sabers ×2
  • Shield ×1
  • Interchangeable hand parts
  • Realistic decals
The Wing Zero was the first Gundam prototype developed by the five engineers behind the OZ-00MS Tallgeese. Around A.C. 175, OZ sought to push mobile suit technology forward, evolving the Tallgeese (Prototype Leo) into an epoch-making weapon. However, recognizing its limitations, five key engineers defected, determined to develop a higher-performance mobile suit that incorporated cutting-edge technology and materials yet to exist at the time—including Gundanium Alloy. Their creation, Wing Zero, was an uncompromising war machine, equipped with an interface that pushed the pilot beyond human limits. Due to its overwhelming destructive potential, the engineers ultimately suspended its development and sealed its design data.

Wing Zero was designed to be a supreme combat mobile suit, featuring a Neo Bird Mode transformation for high-speed cruising and the devastating Twin Buster Rifle, capable of destroying an entire space colony with a single shot. Unlike most mobile suits, its head unit did not include Vulcan Guns, as it prioritized an aggregation of advanced sensors for precise targeting. The chest unit housed its main generator and the ZERO System, a revolutionary cockpit interface that forced the pilot to pursue the "perfect victory." However, the engineers feared its unrelenting battlefield logic, which placed immense mental strain on the pilot, making Wing Zero a machine of overwhelming but terrifying potential.

Deeming Wing Zero's destructive coefficient too extreme, and facing technological constraints that made full-scale production impossible at the time, the engineers abandoned its development. Instead, they split its design principles to create five unique Gundams, each deployed independently during Operation Meteor in A.C. 195. However, the seal on Wing Zero’s blueprints was eventually broken by Quatre Raberba Winner, one of the five Gundam pilots. For the first time, the machine that had once been considered impossible to build was brought to life, forever altering the battlefield.

  2. Awesome - looks great! Just one question though: will this kit be able to do what no Wing Zero kit before has been able to do - will you be able to tuck the Twin Buster Rifle partially beneath the shield like Heero does in the show?

If we can do that officially and without assistance, I’m sold. This will TRULY be the ultimate Wing Zero kit.

    1. Wait, you mean how Heero normally fights, sword & gun style(left arm Twin Buster with shield, right arm beam saber)? We can do that even with the HGAC, just that it's not super stable.

  3. Thank god!! I was getting sick and tired of Endless Waltz kits. The TV series is the OG and what we all remember in the west as kids. I would love to see more TV series wing kits in RG or MG. I see another pair of angel wings, i'll vomit lol. TV Deathscythe Hell or Deathscythe TV version next pretty please Bandai!!!!
